Zenith Bank Plc has taken a significant step in enhancing urban engagement and technological innovation with the launch of a state-of-the-art digital LED screen at the Ajose Adeogun Roundabout in Lagos State.

The unveiling took place on Thursday, 30th May 2024, marking a new era for dynamic advertising and public communication in one of Lagos’ busiest intersections.

The new digital installation, which measures 6.4×6.4 meters, boasts an impressive resolution of 3936×960 pixels, a substantial upgrade from the previous screen’s 1024×256 pixels, launched in 2013. This advancement signifies a 14-fold increase in visual clarity and capabilities, providing high-definition visuals that will captivate and engage audiences.

During the launch event, Dr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu, the outgoing Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of Zenith Bank Plc, expressed his enthusiasm for the new digital infrastructure.

He acknowledged Institutional Quantum’s role in the project’s facilitation and highlighted the importance of innovation and community welfare to the bank’s mission.

“When the idea of upgrading this LED screen came up earlier this year, I was initially sceptical, believing our current standard was sufficient. However, once presented with a graphic illustration of the proposed upgrade, I had no choice but to agree, asking, ‘How soon can we have this installed?’ I want to thank Quantum for their foresight and innovative spirit, which has resulted in this imposing and outstanding LED screen,” Onyeagwu said.

He continued, “At Zenith, our focus is not solely on profit; we also prioritise community welfare. From its inception, Zenith has been a digitally-led organisation, a vision our Founder instilled. Our motto, ‘People, Technology, and Service,’ guides our actions. This facility is captivating and enriching, creating bonds and attractions.”

Mr. Bardia Olowu, representing Institutional Quantum, also spoke at the event, praising Zenith Bank’s management for their unwavering support. He stated, “We at Institutional Quantum sincerely thank Zenith Bank, particularly Dr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu, for his tremendous support over the years. We commend his innovative mindset, which consistently keeps Zenith at the forefront. We are proud to launch this 3D screen under his leadership.”

The cutting-edge screen is designed to seamlessly integrate with the urban landscape, ensuring optimal visibility day and night, regardless of weather conditions. It will serve as a versatile platform for a variety of content, from vibrant advertisements to public service announcements and holiday greetings.

Zenith Bank’s dedication to innovation and excellence has garnered numerous accolades, including being named Best Bank in Nigeria multiple times in the Global Finance World’s Best Banks Awards, and receiving the Best Bank for Digital Solutions in Nigeria award in the Euromoney Awards 2023.

The bank has also been recognised for Best Commercial Bank and Best Innovation in Retail Banking in the International Banker 2022 Banking Awards.
