Zero Balance Error on Kuda App Causes Concern for Customers, Bank reacts

In response to the growing concerns of its customers, Nigeria’s leading Neo bank, Kuda, has reassured its customers that their money is safe despite the glitches on its app.

The bank acknowledged the issue with its app, including the zero balance error, and apologized to its customers for the inconvenience caused.

“We’re sorry that you still haven’t been able to use your Kuda app,” wrote Kuda on its verified Twitter handle, @joinkuda.

“We’re working with our cloud services provider to sort out the downtime, and we’ll let you know when it’s been fixed. Your money remains safe and you’ll be able to access it as soon as services are restored.”

According to the bank, it is actively working to resolve the problem and customers can expect to be notified once the app is back online.

The bank emphasized that the zero balance error displayed on the app is a result of the downtime, not a reflection of the actual amount of money in their account.

Customers have expressed apprehension over their inability to access the Kuda app for transactions. Some have reported being able to log in, but the balance on their account showed zero.

Kuda assured its customers that their money remains safe, despite the glitches on the app.

“We know that the ₦0.00 balance error reported by several people is worrying,” continued the statement from Kuda.

“But we assure you that it’s just what the app is displaying because of the downtime, not the amount of money you actually have. We’ll keep sharing updates as we make progress.”
