ZIKA VIRUS: Pastor Adeboye’s Prophecy Comes To Pass.

The fulfillment of a New Year prophecy by a popular and revered Nigerian pastor may be unfolding before our very eyes.

On January 1, 2016, Pastor Enoch Adeboye told members of his Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) “a new sexually transmitted disease will surface this year.”

The prophecy was widely reported by the Nigerian media, and even scoffed at by some. Many say Adeboye was merely warning Christians to not engage in sexual immorality. After all, the “sexual infidel” is at a greater risk of contracting STDs.

We all may be forced into having a rethink as we consider what Zika virus could be up to.

“A rare case of the Zika virus being transmitted through sex, not a mosquito bite, has been reported in the US,” the BBC is reporting.

So, is Zika virus the new STD Adeboye predicted?

Zika virus is not a new bad guy but it has never been known to be sexually transmitted.

We checked Wikipedia:

Its name comes from the Zika Forest of Uganda, where the virus was first isolated in 1947.

In humans, the virus causes a mild illness known as Zika fever, Zika, or Zika disease, which since the 1950s has been known to occur within a narrow equatorial belt from Africa to Asia.

In 2014, the virus spread eastward across the Pacific Ocean to French Polynesia, then toEaster Island and in 2015 to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, where the Zika outbreak has reached pandemic levels.

“If Zika can readily spread through sex, then it poses a risk to every country not just those with the Aedes mosquito,” the BBC said in its report.

If Zika virus is eventually confirmed to be sexually transmitted, then Adeboye’s prophecy is as good as fulfilled…that could be bad news for the world, anyways.

It could mean faithful married partners stand a risk of contracting the virus.

We would have to pay apt attention to the other things Adeboye said on New Year’s day.

Adeboye categorised his prophecies into personal, national (for Nigeria), and international portions. The prediction about a new STD falls within the international category.

One of the things he said about the international community is that a major war would be averted in 2016.
