Nigeria has emerged victorious in its bid to host the headquarters of the African Energy Bank, a monumental institution with a $5 billion capital aimed at financing and advancing energy projects across the continent.

The announcement was made by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, via his official X handle today.

Lokpobiri expressed his elation, stating, “I am delighted to share that Nigeria has been selected to host the headquarters of the African Energy Bank. This prestigious honour is a testament to our country’s leadership and commitment to the energy sector.”

The Minister underscored the significance of this achievement, highlighting the pivotal role the African Energy Bank will play in promoting innovation, sustainability, and economic growth within the energy sector.
