Kaduna Government to Host Maiden Interior Games

Kaduna State Government has agreed to host the maiden edition of Interior Games, slated for October.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the games would bring together all agencies under the Federal Ministry of Interior.

Gov. Nasiru El-Rufai said when he received the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Danbazzau Monday in Kaduna, that the state would support the ministry to organise the games.

“It is our honour to host you, we will get our team to work with your organizing committee team to organize a hitch free game.

“We will work on the details not only to host the maiden edition but subsequent editions, and for Kaduna to be permanent venue for the games,” he said.

The governor said that the event would afford youths in the state an opportunity to appreciate the value of sports.

On his part, Danbazau expressed appreciation to the state government for agreeing to host the games, saying it would cement existing cooperation between the two.

The minister said that the games was meant to enhance unity and integration in the ministry.(NAN)
