Rio Paralympics: Latifat Tijani Wins Nigeria’s First Medal

Nigeria’s Latifat Tijani has won the country’s first medal at the ongoing Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Tijani won silver in the women’s 45kg Powerlifting after lifting 106kg behind China’s Hu Dandan, who set a new world and paralympic record with her lift of 107kg.
