Bafarawa-211-1-1

A former governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, says that President Muhammadu Buhari has failed as a leader.

Bafarawa said this in an interview with Hausa service of the Voice of America (VOA).

“Buhari has failed because he does not have a listening ear, he does not heed to advice at a time Nigerians are wallowing in poverty and deprivation,” Bafarawa said.

“I’ve written several letters to President Buhari, seeking to have an audience with him on the way forward but he remains indifferent in granting me the opportunity.”

He said that the problems afflicting Nigeria transcended political boundaries, addding that Buhari must listen to wise counsel to unchain Nigerians from the clutches of deprivation.

Bafarawa, a chieftain of the opposition PDP, said: “But I’m really angry with the so-called northern leaders who also chose to maintain sealed lips at this critical moment of our existence.”
