Kano Pillars coach, Baba Ganaru, has resigned.

The coach decided to leave his post after Sunday’s uninspiring 1-1 draw at home to Niger Tornadoes.

Tornadoes before Sunday had not recorded any point all season in all their away games; but they were able to break that jinx in Kano against Pillars.

The result against Tornadoes aptly captures what has been a not too impressive campaign for the former champions.

The Kano team ended in 7th place on the log with 52 points from 36 games.

Coach Ganaru had hoped to at least secure a continental ticket for the Pyramid boys. Having failed to do that, he decided to honourably walk away.
