Nigeria’s President on Wednesday afternoon held a closed-door meeting with the leadership of the upper legislative chamber.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu led other Senators to the meeting which held at the President’s office, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

After the meeting with the lawmakers, they exited while Mr. Buhari held a personal meeting with Saraki.

This meeting came barely a week after the Senate rejected President Buhari’s request to borrow $29.9 billion from external sources.
