13-Year-Old Girl Gang-Raped In Lagos Church Premises

Bassey Joseph and Oriko Samuel have been arrested and charged for allegedly gang-raping a 13-year-old girl on a church premises in Lagos.

The suspects were reported to have committed the offence behind a Cherubim and Seraphim Chrch in Oladipo Banjo Street, Oke-Ira Ogba area of Lagos.

Concise News learned that the victim and suspects were all congregant of the church where the rape took place.

The suspects were charged with unlawful carnal knowledge and penetration of the victim’s private part.

According to P.M Express, the victim was lured to the back of the church by the suspects in the evening, while other worshipers were praying inside the church.

It was also reported that Samuel was the first to rape her, then Joseph had his time before they were caught in the act.

Subsequently, the incident was reported to the police at Area G Command Ogba. They were said to have arrested and detained the suspects.

They were both charged before Ogba Magistrate’s Court with the alleged offence under the Criminal Code and they pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate Tella granted each of them bail in the sum of N1 million and two sureties in like sum.

However, Samuel and Bassey will remain in prison till they meet their bail conditions.

The case was then adjourned till June 26, 2017.
