Nigeria’s D’Tigresses on Wednesday night got the better of defending champions Senegal with a 58-54 win at the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Championship in Mali.

Both sides in Group B had already earned their berths in the quarter-finals prior to the game.

D’Tigresses won the first quarter 14-13, and at half time they were ahead 34-26.

The Nigerian ladies maintained their lead in the third and fourth quarters to emerge winners.
