President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday hosted the victorious national female basketball team, D’Tigress, before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Buhari, while hosting the players, announced cash gifts of N1 million each for members of the team and N500,000 each to the team’s officials.
D’Tigress won the 2017 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket tournament in Mali and qualified for the 2018 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Spain.
