26 People Killed As Gunman Attacks Texas Church

26 people are reported dead after a gunman opened fire at a church in Texas during Sunday services.

The body count was provided by a police commissioner who was at the scene. at the scene confirmed that at least 26 people had died.

A shooting at a Baptist church in the US state of Texas on Sunday resulted in multiple casualties, news media reported. The shooter was reported killed.

The shooting took place at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, southeast of San Antonio, reports said.

They said the shooter walked into the church shortly before noon and opened fire. A two-year-old was among the wounded, the Dallas Morning News website reported.

The San Antonio FBI branch said its agents had been deployed and only one shooter has been reported. The bureau, however, added it is looking at other possibilities.
