A faction of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has announced a break away from the party.

The new group, Reformed All Progressive Congress, announced its birth at a press conference in Abuja with Buba Galadima as its National Chairman.

The break away faction said it was forced to take the action because of what it described as the consistent impunity by leaders of the APC.

The R-APC says all efforts to make leaders of the APC resolve the crisis of parallel congresses in twenty four states were ignored.

The new group says the last National Convention of the party was ridiculed with constitutional infirmities that were so glaring and obvious that no fair minded person can claim that a legitimate and lawful executive emerged from that process.
