Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has revealed that he was searched by security agents when he arrived the country from Dubai.

Security agents allegedly searched the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on arrival from Dubai on Sunday.

Atiku stated on his Twitter page that the search by security agents was aimed at intimidating him and his staff.

He wrote: “I arrived in Abuja this morning to a search by agents of the state, aimed at intimidating me and my staff.

“I am committed to building a Nigeria where no citizen is intimidated by agents of the state who are paid to protect them.

“Together, #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain.”
