The US Embassy has announced the closure of its offices in Abuja and Lagos indefinitely.

The closure was due to the ongoing government shutdown in the United States.

The Embassy revealed in a Facebook post that their offices in Abuja and Lagos will re-open after the shutdown is resolved.

The post reads:

“Due to the current U.S. government shutdown, the American Centers located in the Embassy, Abuja and Consulate General, Lagos are unfortunately closed,”.

“They will re-open once the U.S. government shutdown is resolved. Sorry for any inconvenience to our valued patrons.”
