A Federal High Court has barred Abba Yusuf, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), from contesting for the election in the state.

Okay Nigeria recalls that Abba Yusuf is the anointed candidate of former Governor of the State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.

However, the court named Ibrahim Al-Amin Little, as PDP candidate to contest for the governorship election in the state.

Reacting to the judgement, Kano said the court ruling only affects the party and not Yusuf.

The short statement reads, “The PDP Kano State wishes to draw the attention of the general public that the High Court judgement concerns only our party and not our candidate.

“The party has already appealed the judgement while our candidate continues with preparations for the upcoming governorship election.”
