Court orders re-run in Akpabio’s senatorial district within 90 days

The Court of Appeal in Calabar has ordered a re-run election in Akwa Ibom north-west senatorial district within 90 days.

INEC had declared Christoper Ekpenyong of the PDP as the winner of the senatorial district over Godswill Akpabio.

But Akapbio filed a petition against the victory at the tribunal.

He lost the petition at the election’s tribunal and headed to appeal court were on Saturday ordered a rerun election in Essien Udim local government.

It can be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari has already appointed Akpabio as the Niger-Delta minister.
