First Coronavirus case recorded in Algeria

Algeria has confirmed its first case of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Okay.ng understands that the country’s health ministry made this announcement in a televised broadcast on Tuesday.

The ministry disclosed that an Italian man who arrived in the country on February 17 tested positive to the disease.

“One case was confirmed positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), out of two suspected cases (both) of Italian nationality,” the broadcast states.
