COVID-19: Nigeria records 229 new cases, total crosses 8,000

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 229 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria on Monday, May 25, 2020.

According to NCDC, Of the 229 new cases, 90 are in Lagos, 27 in Katsina, 26 in Imo, 23 in Kano, 14 in FCT, 12 in Plateau, 9 in Ogun, 7 in Delta, 5 in Borno, 5 Rivers, 4 in Oyo, 3 in Gombe, 2 in Osun, 1 in Anambra, and 1 in Bayelsa State.

The NCDC also announced that as of 11:30 pm on 25th May, there are 8068 total COVID-19 confirmed cases reported in Nigeria.

Two thousand, three hundred and eleven (2311) patients have been discharged with two hundred and thirty-three (233) deaths across the country.
