COVID-19: 587 new cases, 14 deaths recorded in Nigeria on June 17

Nigeria has recorded 587 new cases of COVID-19 and 14 deaths on Wednesday, June 17th, 2020.

Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 35 states including FCT, with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 155 cases.

The states with the 587 new cases are Lagos-155, Edo-75, FCT-67, Rivers-65, Oyo-56, Delta-50, Bayelsa-25, Plateau-18, Kaduna-18, Enugu-17, Borno-12, Ogun-12, Ondo-7, Kwara-4, Kano-2, Gombe-2, Sokoto-1 and Kebbi-1.

NCDC also announced that as of 11:20 pm on 17th June, there are 17,735 total COVID-19 confirmed cases reported in Nigeria.

Five thousand, nine hundred and sixty-seven (5,967) patients have been discharged with four hundred and sixty-nine (469) deaths across the country.
