Powerlifting: Nigeria’s Latifat Tijani wins gold medal at Tokyo Paralympics

Latifat Tijani has won the first gold medal for Nigeria at the ongoing Tokyo Paralympic Games.

The 39-year-old defeated China’s Zhe Cui to lift 107kg in the women’s 45kg powerlifting on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
