President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has granted an exemption to the Boards of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration & Control (NAFDAC) from the recently announced dissolution of governing boards across federal entities.

Following the directive on the dissolution of Boards of Federal Government Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions, and Government-owned Companies, there was uncertainty surrounding the status of the NDLEA and NAFDAC boards.

To address this, the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has provided a clarification.

In a press release issued by Willie Bassey, the Director of Information, on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, it has been confirmed that the NDLEA and NAFDAC boards will remain intact and unaffected by the dissolution directive.
