The Lagos State Government has issued a notice regarding the temporary diversion of traffic to facilitate the reconstruction of the Thomas Ajufo inwards Sheraton link bridge axis.

The reconstruction project, set to commence on Monday, is estimated to last for a duration of four weeks, according to a statement released on Sunday by Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Lagos Commissioner for Transportation.

During this period, alternative routes will be available to accommodate motorists affected by the diversion, ensuring minimal disruption to the flow of traffic in the area.

Osiyemi explained, “Motorists heading towards Opebi road will be allowed to use one side of the Opebi road carriageway because the construction requires the second lane to be closed.

“Also, motorists heading towards Mobolaji Bank Anthony way from Allen Avenue/Toyin street will make use of Toyin Street via Ola Ayinde street to connect Ikeja under bridge and continue their journeys.”

Commissioner Osiyemi urged all motorists to adhere strictly to designated road signs and guidelines put in place by traffic officials to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted flow of traffic throughout the duration of the reconstruction period.
