A heartbreaking case of paternity fraud has come to light in Nigeria, leaving a family shattered and a father devastated.

Mr. Olanrewaju Kolawole, a 44-year-old native of Ikire in Osun State, was recently left reeling after DNA tests revealed that none of the four children he had raised with his wife were biologically his.

The shocking revelation came about during the couple’s appearance on the popular radio show ‘Kokoro Alate’ on Agidigbo FM, Ibadan.

Following initial doubts about the paternity of their first child, Mr. Kolawole decided to pursue DNA testing for all four children together, namely Ayomide, 16, Sarah, 12, and two younger children aged 8 and 5 years, respectively with his wife of over 15 years, Mrs. Tella Oluwatoyin Olanrewaju (Tella Toyin).

The tragic case of paternity fraud came to light during their appearance on the renowned radio show ‘Kokoro Alate’ on Agidigbo FM, Ibadan, hosted by Oriyomi Hamzat.

Following the revelation that the first child was not biologically related to Kolawole, subsequent DNA tests were conducted on the other three children, with all results confirming the absence of a biological relationship.

Expressing his distress, Kolawole stated, “I want Nigerians to come to my rescue because I must not suffer this in vain. I married Toyin in 2007 and we gave birth to four children. She gave birth to four children, but none of them belongs to me after findings from a DNA test.”

Kolawole cited various suspicious behaviors from his wife as the reason for his decision to conduct the DNA tests, revealing his apprehensions about her fidelity.

The DNA tests were conducted at the DDC DNA Diagnostic Center in Osogbo, Osun State.

In response to the results, Mrs. Tella Toyin, while disclaiming the outcomes, expressed doubts about the testing process, emphasizing that she was not present during the sample collection and was unaware of the samples taken.

“I don’t accept the result. I don’t accept it because I was not there when they took samples, and I don’t know which sample they took, so I don’t accept it. I can’t accept it because I know how I conceived those children,” Mrs. Toyin remarked.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2007 and were active members of the same church in the Ikoyi area of Osun State, have since been thrown into an emotional whirlwind following the revelation.

The case has sparked discussions on the need for transparency and trust within marital relationships.
