The federal government has disclosed its plans to initiate comprehensive repairs on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, necessitating the closure of four ramps connecting Adekunle to the bridge.

The closure is scheduled to commence at 7 am on Monday.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Olukorede Kesha, urged motorists to adhere to traffic rules and regulations during the repair period.

“The federal government, through the Federal Ministry of Works, wishes to inform the motoring public that the government has perfected plans to carry out comprehensive repairs of Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos,” Kesha announced.

He further stated, “In view of the above, the motoring public is hereby notified that all four ramps connecting Adekunle to Third Mainland Bridge will be closed at the same time going forward. Consequently, motorists are advised to use alternative routes while cooperating with the traffic management officials deployed to manage traffic and ensure hitch-free movement.”
