In a swift move following the recent dissolution of the executive council, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has chosen Mr Olayide Adelami, a former Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, as the new deputy governor of the state.

This decision was announced shortly after the governor relieved all commissioners and special advisers of their duties on Wednesday.

A statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, confirmed that the nomination of Mr Olayide Adelami has been forwarded to the state House of Assembly for approval.

The statement reads, “His nomination will be announced by the House of Assembly later today.”
