An explosion has occurred in a crowded market in Borno State, emerging reports say.

The blast went off today, March 10, near the main market in Maiduguri, the state capital, which had also been attacked on Saturday, 7.

The market is located along the popular Ahmadu Bello way in the state.

“The explosion just happened now along the Ahmadu Bello way. We don’t know if it is a suicide bombing. People are running away from the market area as I speak to you now,” Abba Shehu, a security operative told Premium Times.

An official casualty figure has however not been released.
