The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates will begin on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, and end on Monday, June 24, 2024.
This was disclosed by the Head of Nigeria Office, Dr. Amos Dangut, at the WAEC Lagos Office on Monday.
According to Dr. Dangut, the examination will span seven weeks and six days, and will be conducted in four WAEC member countries: Nigeria, Gambia, Sierra-Leone, and Liberia. He expressed the council’s readiness to conduct the examination and urged candidates to prepare accordingly.
The examination is a crucial milestone for secondary school students, and WAEC has assured stakeholders of its commitment to conducting a credible and hitch-free examination.
The council has collaborated with the Federal Ministry of Education, State Ministries of Education, the Nigeria Police, and other security agencies to ensure the success of the examination.
