Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has appealed for patience from residents regarding the condition of roads in the state. He made this plea on Monday while assessing roads in Ifo Local Government Area. According to Abiodun, reconstructing all the bad roads in the state is a task that cannot be accomplished in three years, let alone eight.

The governor acknowledged that his administration inherited a significant deficit in road infrastructure, including abandoned projects and demolished houses. He assured that his government is committed to spreading road construction evenly across the state.

Abiodun set a two-week deadline for completing the Denro/Ishasi/Akute Road and ordered contractors to expedite work on the Alagbole-Ajuwon and Akute-Ajuwon roads. He also promised to rebuild the Primary Health Care Centre in the area.

This comes after social media users criticized the state of roads in Ogun, with the hashtag #DapoFixOgunRoads trending on Twitter.
