Killer Floods: Tinubu Consoles Jigawa, Vows Federal Support

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the government and people of Jigawa State following the recent devastating floods that claimed over 16 lives and displaced more than 3,000 people across 14 local government areas.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu commiserated with the bereaved families and victims of the flooding, emphasizing the need for sustained measures to address climate change and its associated perils.

The President assured the people of Jigawa of his administration’s support during this challenging time, while also praying for the repose of the souls of the deceased. The federal government’s support is expected to provide relief to the affected communities and aid in the recovery process.
