President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s past errors as a critical step toward achieving future greatness.

Speaking during the 64th Independence Anniversary broadcast on Tuesday, Tinubu emphasized that while celebrating progress, it is important to recognize missed opportunities and mistakes made along the way.

In his address, the President highlighted that Nigeria’s path to becoming a leading global nation hinges on learning from its past and ensuring that those errors do not persist.

“While we celebrate the progress we have made as a people in the last sixty-four years, we must also recognize some of our missed opportunities and mistakes of the past,” Tinubu said.

“If we are to become one of the greatest nations on earth, as God has destined us to be, our mistakes must not be allowed to follow us into the future.”
