First Bank of Nigeria has unveiled a fully automated Digital Xperience Centre at Bayero University, Kano (BUK), designed to offer seamless 24-hour banking services without human assistance.

The facility, equipped with advanced ATMs for deposits, withdrawals, and payments, represents the bank’s continued investment in digital innovation and customer convenience.

Group Head of Branch Operations and Services, Mrs Abimbola Kunle Ajayi, said the centre demonstrates First Bank’s commitment to driving digital transformation across Nigeria’s banking sector. She noted that the facility enables customers to carry out transactions independently in a user-friendly environment.

During the commissioning, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor performed a live transfer, while the Students’ Union President successfully created a new ATM card, illustrating the efficiency of the digital setup.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of First Bank Group, Olusegun Alebiosu, described the project as a strategic move toward a “digital-first” future. He said the centre will expand access to secure, round-the-clock financial services and transform customer interaction with the bank.

“The future of banking is digital, and our goal is to make transactions seamless, safe, and accessible to all,” Alebiosu stated.

Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Haruna Musa, represented by Prof. Amina Mustapha, commended First Bank for establishing the centre and urged students and staff to maintain and maximise its use.

Students and other users at the launch expressed satisfaction with the service speed and accessibility, describing it as a major relief for those who previously travelled long distances for basic banking needs.
