MTN Nigeria has unveiled a new service called ‘WhoDeyCall’, designed to help subscribers instantly identify unknown callers without the need for data, internet access, or a mobile application.

The telecom giant announced the service in a promotional material released this week, positioning it as an affordable and easy-to-use solution for Nigerians concerned about unsolicited or suspicious calls.

According to MTN, the service allows customers to see the identity of any incoming caller, including numbers not saved on their phones, by simply activating the feature through a USSD code. The service is available for as low as ₦50.

To activate the feature, subscribers are required to dial *4800#, after which the caller ID service becomes active on their line.
