UPDATE: Kidnappers Demand 100 Million Ransom For The Release of Olu Falae

Reports reaching us have indicated that the kidnappers of Olu Falae, a chieftain of Afenifere and National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), have demanded for a N100 million ransom.

Chief Falae, a former secretary to the government and presidential aspirant in the 1999 presidential elections, was kidnapped from his home in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State early Monday.

According to Remi Olayiwole, the spokesperson for SDP, the kidnappers demanded that the ransom be paid latest by end of Tuesday.
We hope the old man is returned to his family safe and sound, and without incidence.
