WHO Finally Declares Nigeria Polio Free

The World Health Organization is formally removing Nigeria from the list of polio-endemic countries.

As it stands now, The African continent is free of Polio.

Nigeria has reported no new cases for 15 months.

Nigeria used to record 1,000 polio cases a year which was the highest in the world.
