The Lagos State Government on Wednesday morning around 7;45am demolished the popular Owonifari Market at Oshodi . The market which has been in existence for more than 40 years was closed on Tuesday to curb security challenges within the Oshodi metropolis. The demolition was directly supervised by the Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, who was accompanied by the Commissioner for Environment, Dr Babatunde Adejare, officials of Kick Against Indiscipline, the police and some other top government officials.
