Buhari-Budget-3-1

The 2016 Budget proposal submitted to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly gone missing at the National Assembly.

Senate Leader Ali Ndume made this announcement during a closed door session that lasted for about 90 minutes.

The Senators and House of Representatives Members were supposed to commence consideration of the budget today.

This happened just as House of Reps Speaker, Yakubu Dogara expressed confidence that the budget will restore the economy.

President Buhari presented the budget on 22nd, December, 2015 to the joint session of the national assembly.

Deliberations on the budget cannot commence until new copies of the documents have been obtained from the Presidency or Ministry of Finance.
