Galatasaray

Galatasaray have been banned from Uefa competitions for the 2016-17 season, after failing to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

In January, Uefa released a statement indicating that the Turkish Super Lig club had failed to comply with rules around financial losses, bringing about the possibility of a ban by the Club Financial Control Body.

And now the Istanbul club will be unable to compete in either the Champions League or the Europa League next season, even if they finish in one of the Turkish Super Lig’s qualification spots.
