Legendary American wrestler Terry Bollea, popularly known as Hulk Hogan, has come out victorious in his ongoing sex tape lawsuit against Gawker media.

The wrestler filed a lawsuit against the founder of Gawker Media ,Nick Denton and former editor, A.J. Daulerio for posting a two-minute video of Hogan having sex with his former best friend’s wife in 2012.  According to Hogan, Gawker had violated his privacy by sharing the sex tape on their site and he sought $100 million for damages.

Yesterday, a six-man jury finally came to a conclusion after two weeks of trial and ruled in favour of Hulk Hogan. The wrestler was  awarded $115 million which is more than the $100 million he had sued Gawker for. Gawker’s legal team, however, argued that posting the video was protected by the First Amendment, but it appeared they to had anticipated a costly verdict.

“Mr. Bollea is exceptionally happy. This is not only his victory today, but also anyone else who’s been victimized by tabloid journalism,” his lawyer David Houston said outside the courtroom. Hogan also took to Twitter to express his joy:
