Waheed Ayilara, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, has passed away, as reported by Okay.ng.
Ayilara reportedly died on Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja.
According to sources, Ayilara had undergone prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday, just hours before his untimely death.
“We are very sad to inform you that our friend, brother, and family member, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara, is dead,” a family member confirmed.
