American sportswear giant, Nike, has said it is “deeply concerned by rape allegations against Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kathryn Mayorga, a 34-year-old US former teacher, has accused Ronaldo of rape, she claims that Juventus superstar assaulted her in Las Vegas in 2009 but Ronaldo has firmly denied the accusation.
In an email to The Associated Press, Nike said: “We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation.”
The sportswear company has a contract worth a reported $1bn (£768m) with Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
