Published

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the extension of its electronic membership registration exercise to 8th February 2026, a week beyond the earlier deadline of 31st January.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the party made the decision at its 183rd meeting held on Friday, 30th January 2026, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja. According to the party, the extension aims to allow more supporters and members to register and validate their membership.

In the same statement made available to Okay News on Friday, 30th January 2026. the APC confirmed that its Ward Congresses will now hold on Wednesday, 18th February 2026, while the National Convention has been rescheduled for 27th–28th March 2026.

The party noted that Osun State, Ekiti State, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are excluded from the Ward Congresses due to upcoming elections, while Rivers State is exempt because the tenure of its current executive committees is still ongoing.

Additionally, the party disclosed the constitution of the National Convention Planning Committee. Further details, including the full timetable for the Congresses and convention activities, as well as the composition of the committee, will be announced at a later date.
