Bago Presents N613.27 Billion Budget to Niger State Assembly

Governor Umar Mohammed Bago, has unveiled the 2024 Budget Proposal, tagged the “Budget of the Future,” amounting to a staggering N613,274,081,698.17.

Okay.ng can confirm that the budget was presented to the State House of Assembly on Tuesday.

Breaking down the budget’s composition, Bago emphasized that N149,217,969,152.00, constituting 24.33% of the total amount, is earmarked for recurrent expenditure.

Meanwhile, a significant portion of N464,056,832,546.60, representing 75.67% of the budget, is dedicated to capital estimates, embodying the shared vision for a prosperous and transformed future for Niger State.

Addressing the core principles embedded in their manifesto, Bago reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing livelihoods, nurturing a sustainable economy, upholding good governance, and propelling comprehensive development across urban and rural landscapes.
