Brother of Former VP Namadi Sambo Dies at 82

Alhaji Suleiman Sambo, the elder brother of former Vice President Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo, has passed away at the age of 82.

He died on Monday following a long illness, leaving behind a large family and a legacy of dedicated public service.

Alhaji Suleiman Sambo is survived by his wife, 11 children, 52 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.

His funeral was held on Tuesday at the Bashama Road Cemetery in Kaduna, where family members, relatives, and sympathizers gathered to pay their respects.

The funeral service was attended by former Vice President Namadi Sambo, alongside religious and traditional leaders who joined the family in mourning.

A longtime public servant, Alhaji Suleiman Sambo spent 35 years in the Department of Government Printing under the defunct Ministry of Information and Home Affairs in Kaduna State.

He retired as Chief Superintendent in 1994, remembered for his commitment to his work and service to the state.
