Buhari Not Protecting Killer Herdsmen – Osinbajo

By Farouk Mohammed

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday faulted claims that President Muhammadu Buhari is doing little to check the crimes by Fulani herdsmen due to his Fulani origin.

Osinbajo, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari, mentioned this at the two-day summit on national security organised by the Senate at the NAF center in Abuja.

“It is untrue,” Osinbajo stated.

While declaring the event opene, Senate Leader Ahmad Lawan said the summit is aimed at providing an all-inclusive platform for finding long-term solutions to the security challenges in Nigeria.

In attendance are the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris; the leadership of the National Assembly and Federal Lawmakers, Royal Fathers, Representatives of State Governors and Service Chiefs.
