CDCFIB Sets November 12 for Computer-Based Test, Warns Candidates on Exam Rules

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that the Computer-Based Test (CBT) phase of its ongoing recruitment exercise will commence on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

In a statement signed by A.M. Jibril, Major General (Rtd) and Secretary to the Board, the CDCFIB said that only candidates who have been officially shortlisted and scheduled for the examination will be allowed to participate.

The Board emphasized that all candidates must adhere strictly to examination rules to avoid disqualification. According to the release, the test will be AI-proctored throughout the session to ensure transparency and curb all forms of malpractice, including device manipulation, third-party interference, and network switching.

Candidates have been advised to ensure a stable internet connection, reliable power supply, and use of the right device — preferably a laptop. While mobile phones and tablets may be used, interruptions such as calls or switching applications could trigger system alerts, potentially leading to disqualification.

Okay News reports that the CDCFIB’s online examination system is equipped to monitor participants in real time and detect violations automatically.

The statement further noted that the examination portal will open 30 minutes before each scheduled test window. To access the exam, shortlisted candidates are required to log into the Board’s portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng at their designated time, complete the photo verification process, and remain in the virtual waiting room until the test begins.

Candidates who experience disconnection during the test will be able to rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they stopped.
