As the summer transfer season intensifies everyday, the Sun reports that Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich had a meeting with Lionel Messi‘s father, Gorge, for possibility of Messi to switch from from Nou Camp to Stamford Bridge side.

According to the Sun newspaper report, the meeting was conducted aboard the Russian billionaire’s yacht (Abramovich yacht).

Chelsea are rumoured to be prepared to offer Barcelona around £110 million for the signature of the 29-year-old forward.

The Fulham-based club are willing to offer the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner a huge wage deal better than his current one with the Catalonia club which currently stands at £600,000 a week.

Although Manchester City’s new boss Pep Guardiola has made it clear he won’t be chasing his former player’s signature, Chelsea is rumoured to be making discreet moves which includes offering Messi a £800,000 a week wage contract.
