ASABA, Nigeria — The City Boy Movement has announced plans to unveil its Delta State Secretariat and expanded State Executive Council on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in Asaba, Delta State, southern Nigeria.

O’tega Ogra, Deputy Director General, Communication and Public Affairs of the Movement, disclosed this in a statement issued on May 4, 2026, following the completion of its National Youth Tour across the South-South region.

Okay News reports that the unveiling is part of efforts to strengthen the Movement’s grassroots structure and expand organised support for Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Movement commended Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, for supporting youth participation and creating an enabling environment for civic engagement.

Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, Director-General of the City Boy Movement, said the expanded executive council and new secretariat would help consolidate gains from the regional youth mobilisation efforts.

“This is not just the unveiling of a Secretariat. It is the activation of a stronger grassroots structure in Delta State. We are supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because his administration is taking the difficult but necessary decisions required to reset Nigeria’s economy, expand opportunity, strengthen national productivity and secure a more sustainable future for young Nigerians and the positive results are already showing. Our duty is to take that message to the grassroots and every nook and cranny of Nigeria, with clarity and conviction,” he said.

Senator Asuquo Ekpeyong, South-South Coordinator of the Movement, said the new structure would help channel regional engagement into coordinated political and civic activities.

“The South-South is central to Nigeria’s future, and Delta State is central to the South-South. Coming after the National Youth Tour, this Secretariat gives our members a home, our message a structure and our communities a platform for direct engagement. We will continue to mobilise peacefully, explain the President’s reforms and ensure that young people are active participants in the Renewed Hope project,” he said.

Chairman and Patron of the City Boy Movement, Oluwaseyi Tinubu, said the support of state leaders and grassroots stakeholders remains critical to the Movement’s expansion.

“We appreciate the support of the Governor of Delta State and all stakeholders across Nigeria who believe in responsible youth engagement. The City Boy Movement stands with President Tinubu because we believe in his leadership and vision. The City Boy Movement is a movement of conviction, service and nation building and we are taking the Renewed Hope message to every youth in every ward, every LGA, and every State in Nigeria,” he said.
