Court of Appeal rules in favour of Oyetola, voids Adeleke’s victory

A Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has voided the electoral victory of Ademola Adeleke in the Osun State governorship election petition tribunal.

Okay Nigeria reported that Gboyega Oyetola, the governor of Osun State, challenged the declaration of Ademola Adeleke as the duly elected governor by the state election petition tribunal.

However, five-member panel of the appeal court led by Jummai Sankey gave a judgement with three members of the panel agreeing with the lead judgement.

The court also nullify the judgement of the tribunal of March 22, which declared Mr Adeleke winner of the election.

Justice Mbaba, one of the panel member, is currently giving a dissenting judgement.
